The 500w motor can be equipped with six 20A batteries

First of all, the controller output cannot be only 10A. Generally, the output current of a 48V 500W motor is limited to about 30A, because it is needed when starting to overtake and climb a hill. Larger current, otherwise the car will be powerless. As for the battery, as long as the car has a place to put it, in principle, the bigger the better

According to the battery discharge capacity, it is recommended that a 500-watt motor be paired with a battery/lithium battery system with a capacity of 60v20ah or above. In this way, the rated current is 500/60V=8.4A, the battery is in a medium load state, and the battery life can be extended.
